Descifrând Istoria Invizibilă: Structuri Ascunse în Date Vizuale/Deciphering Invisible History: Hidden Structures in Visual Data

The project aims to provide archaeology enthusiasts and amateur archaeologists with expert know-how and guidance for identifying archaeological structures based on visual data (satellite images, cartographic sources, Lidar scans) that are freely available online (Bing Maps, Google Maps, the LAKI II Project, Mapire.hu). Analyzing visual data is a time-consuming stage in the process of identifying potential archaeological structures. In this context, outsourcing this type of analysis to as many researchers/enthusiasts as possible reduces the workload per individual and increases the chances of identifying archaeological structures.
